Opened in May of 2004, The Delancey, a rooftop bar on the Lower East Side offers visitors several different entertainment and drinking options. Spread across three stories, the club is a great location for a night out and one of the city’s best outdoor drinking venues. The basement is equipped for live music and has a large dance floor. The bar upstairs is accented by red velvet booths with privacy curtains and chandeliers, creating a luxurious atmosphere to accompany stiff drinks.
The real treat, however, is the rooftop, filled with lush tropical palms, fish ponds and modern décor reminiscent of Miami Beach, or Palm Springs poolside. Margarita machines turn out frozen, salt rimmed treats, and a retractable glass roof means that even in the worst weather guests are welcome to enjoy the views of the Williamsburg Bridge and East River. 168 Delancey Street, Manhattan. thedelancey.com
